American Financing

I despise this company more than any other company I have ever tried to do business with. I started a simple re-fi in early March. I uploaded all docs and requested info right away. They, on the other hand, are ridiculously slow! I finally had to threaten to pull the plug before they ordered an appraisal. After close to 90 days, they called to schedule the closing for 6/1/21. I never received a time or a confirmation so I contacted them around noon that day. After waiting 6+ hours my loan consultant, Umed, left me a voice message telling me that they wouldn't be able to close my loan. Why? Because of a credit supplement he said shows too many late Mortgage payments. Needless to say, I lost it! (Which I don't feel bad about at all.) I started working with another lender the next day. They pulled credit supplements and reports from the start - none of which show late mortgage payments. I have filed a complaint with the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA). Do yourself a favor and go someplace - anyplace - else. I do need to own what's mine: Shame on me for cooperating with the nonsense of taking 90 days to close a re-fi.

I've refinanced twice with American Financing and both times were great experiences. This last time I worked with Tony Wesson and Karen. They were amazing and really handled everything perfectly. A few things came up and they got us through it. Got to closing very quick and always enjoy having them come to me to sign everything, always a plus. Thanks for all the hard work, it didn't feel like I did anything but sign.Update 2019 - Just Refinanced again with American Financing and it went amazingly smooth. Tony Wesson and the team at American Financing did a great job handling my refinance to get me a lower rate. I barely had to do anything as they took care of everything including any questions or concerns I had. I recommend to everyone to give them a look as they've been outstanding each time I've worked with them.

We went to American Financing because we are one of their Independent appraisers and like how they work with appraisers. We decided to use them to see if they ran their whole company the same way and we are happy to report that, yes, they do. Everyone we came into contact with starting with our loan officer, David Clark and through processing with Monique Watkins and her team were incredibly knowledgeable and easy to work with. I am a former loan processor and know, probably too much for my own good, about the process and questioned them a bunch of times; but, they always treated me with respect and answered all my questions in a timely manner. It was a smooth process. I will recommend American Financing, and specifically, David Clark, anytime!
